Consult digital publications at home

Request temporary access for research

Users who want to consult copyright-protected publications from our digital collections for research or education purposes can now do so at home. A new application in our digital library makes this possible.

Anyone wishing to make use of this service can request a temporary login from our reproduction service. Be sure to mention which publications you want to consult, and motivate your request. After approval, you will receive an activation mail, with which you can set up a temporary account with password in our digital library. If you want to use a certain image or scan (e.g. in a publication), we ask you to notify us. Be aware that you need permission from the copyright holders when re-using copyrighted publications.

Digital collection

Since 2006, we have been digitising publications from our collection at the request of users and on our own initiative. We also collect publications that originally appear in digital form ('born-digital'). Today, this digital collection includes more than 4,500 titles. By far the majority of these publications are free of copyright, so you can also consult them from home. But several monographs and journals are still protected by copyright, so we cannot distribute them freely online. Users can always consult them in our reading room.
