The Heritage Library is the repository for modern and historical newspapers and periodicals – on paper, on microfilm or in digital form.

Do you want to have a look at today’s newspaper? Are you interested in early numbers of Knack or Dag allemaal? Or do you want to look something up in the digital archive of the Gazet van Antwerpen? No problem!

The newspaper and periodical collection of the Heritage Library contains more than 31,000 different titles, representing well over ten kilometres of shelf-space. You will find both the oldest and the latest numbers of major newspaper and periodical titles from Flanders, as well as hundreds of Belgian and foreign titles. Increasing numbers of newspapers and periodicals are (also) available digitally and online. We subscribe to a wide range of contemporary media publications which you can consult digitally in our reading room.

Are you looking for a newspaper article from the past? Do you have a specific research question, or do you simply want to browse through our extensive collection? We’ll be happy to help.
