Open Monument Day 2024

Visit the Nottebohm Room for free during Open Monument Day. Besides a library visit, you can also take a guided tour or admire our restoration and digitisation workshops on that day.

The Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library is located in Antwerp’s bustling city centre. For over five centuries, the library has been collecting and preserving Flemish cultural heritage.

The Nottebohm Room

As well as being used for book storage and as an exhibition space, the Nottebohm Room is also the place where some of the highlights of the collection are kept. It is only open during public activities organised by the library or during tours.
